I love this book because of the way that Micheal Morpurgo manages to write it so well that the settings feels very real, as if you were really there. I also like the fact that it’s from the perception of a horse and not a human.

I found that the background setting in the war was very realistic for me and I sometimes felt that I was in the trenches with that character. I also like the way that he shows companionship and friendship.
